Overview
Clinical nutrition is the study of the relationship between food and a healthy body. Students learn how nutrition affects patient health, and how nutrients are digested, absorbed, transported, metabolized, stored, and eliminated by the body. They also study how chronic illnesses can be treated with tailored nutrition plans. Clinical Nutrition For Dummies will appeal to the growing number of students majoring in nutrition, dietetics, nursing, medicine, dentistry, public health studies, and more.
