Overview
Biomechanics is the interdisciplinary study of the intersection of biological and mechanical worlds. Its both a basic and applied science, and focuses on the mechanical cause-effect relationships that determine the motions of living organisms. Students of biomechanics work in many different disciplines and fields of application such as biological sciences, exercise and sports science, health sciences, ergonomics and human factors, and engineering and applied science.
