This revised edition of 1999's U.S. Court Cases pulls together essays from more than a dozen Salem reference works, tripling the number of cases covered to become what may be the largest collection of articles on individual court cases available in any compact reference work. Reviewers of the first edition of U.S. Court Cases noted that the fact that the set drew its essays from a large number of different resource sets gave it a special value. These publications have so greatly expanded the number of essays on which to draw that it is now possible to increase the number of cases covered in U.S. Court Cases, from 211 in the first edition to over 650 in this revised edition, thereby more than tripling the number of cases. U.S. Court Cases, Revised Edition also includes more than 10 new cases not previously covered in any other Salem reference work. This three volume set opens with a series of overview essays explaining the historical and legal context in which American courts operate. The second and much longer section of the set contains more than 674 articles on individual court cases.
