Overview
Examines the activities conducted in the Episcopal Church in Wuhan and Changsha during the Revolution of 1911 and discusses the various characteristics of participation in social change activities by Christian groups. This study focuses on social progress and probes into the role of Christianity in China's society through an investigation of the church's involvement in organizing progressive organizations (such as Rizhihui) before the revolution of 1911, participating in rescue work in Wuchang during the revolution period, and engaging in patriotic publicity after the revolution.
