Digital Humanities is not just about using digital resources – it’s about using computing tools to analyse content in new and exciting ways.
Whilst traditional scholarship uses “Close Reading” (techniques familiar to you), Digital Humanities uses “Distant Reading” to analyse large bodies of texts through computational methods, unlocking fascinating new insights that would not have been possible through traditional research methods.
In this way, Digital Humanities provides a brand-new lens to explore the Humanities, and can give your research an exciting new angle!
