Meet the Presenters - Gale Primary Sources Publishing Team
Seth Cayley is the Vice President for Gale Primary Sources at Gale. He and his global team are responsible for commissioning and creating Gale's award-winning digital archive products and work with many of the world's leading libraries to conserve and digitise their special collections, and make them more widely available to researchers and students worldwide.
Bennett Graff is senior acquisitions editor at Gale, where he has worked for over a decade with primary source collections. His long publishing career of 25 years has also included stints as a scholarly book editor at Rowman and Littlefield and as music and dance publisher at Alexander Street. He holds a doctorate in American literature from the City University of New York Graduate Center. He lives in New Haven, Connecticut, where he and his wife—a public librarian—were counting their blessings as empty nesters until recent events brought their adult children home.
Phil Virta, Senior Acquisitions Editor has worked at Gale for more than fifteen years in various capacities, most recently as a publisher of digital primary source archives in charge of the Archives of Sexuality & Gender programme. He enjoys long walks through dusty archival collections, visiting far-flung places, and frequent woolgathering. When he doesn’t have his head in the clouds, he can be found researching new archive ideas, working on his stamp collection, watching squirrels, or planning his next tropical vacation.
