The Lexile Framework&#174; is a tool that places readers and text on the same scale by measuring both the difficulty of written material and students' reading abilities. The technology of the Lexile Framework&#174; has three core components. They are:<ul>
<li> the Lexile Map, which is a graphical representation of reading development.
<li> the Lexile Analyzer, which measures the difficulty levels of text.
<li> the Lexile Anchor Test, an item bank that measures reader performance and provides guidelines for converting raw scores on standardized reading tests into Lexile measures</UL>

The Accelerated Reader&#174; program has been proven to improve children's reading and critical thinking skills.
This program is useful in motivating and encouraging readers and assisting teachers in accurately evaluating
and elevating students' reading levels through multiple-choice testing on the books they have read. The quiz provides instant feedback to both teacher and student. Accelerated Reader&#174; titles have been indicated within this catalog.
