This illustrated reference work is one of a four-volume set that provides authoritative chapters on four central aspects of Hispanic life: History, Culture (Anthropology), Social Organizations (Sociology) and Literature and Art. The works have been edited by eminent scholars Nicolas Kanellos (University of Houston) and Claudia Esteva-Fabregat (University of Barcelona). Kanellos, a literary historian, and Esteva-Fabregat, an anthropologist, assembled a team of 65 of the foremost scholars on US Hispanic culture to make Hispanic life and culture accessible to the broadest audiences possible: middle school to graduate school, and public and school libraries.
