Overview
This new ten-title series, The Evolution of Government and Politics, provides an opportunity to explore the government and political structure of ten major countries and how they developed through history to become the nations they are today. Young readers are encouraged to analyze the past and draw conclusions about the country's political system. Countries covered include the United Kingdom, China, Iraq, Venezuela, France, Greece, Egypt, Italy, Germany, and North and South Korea. The series has been developed to address many of the Common Core specific goals, higher level thinking skills, and progressive learning strategies from informational texts for middle grade and junior high level students.
