Overview
In recent years we have learned that endocrine dysfunction in the critically ill, besides being common, is characterized by specific patterns of presentation that more than a curiosity pathophysiological represent an important aspect of the patient, as it is predictive of evolution and requires early diagnosis and treatment and timely. The aim of this work is to inform all stakeholders on the issue more transcendent aspects of endocrine dysfunction in critically ill patient. It addresses the issues of most interest and relevance in chapters written by experts in this subject. Reading this book, in addition to upgrade knowledge, positively impact on the evolution of critically ill patients suffering from any endocrine dysfunction.
