Overview
The prunings that are carried out to propitiate a form of tree adapted for the production of wood are named habitually heights of formation. The pruning (in his more habitual acceptance) is the systematic elimination of the branches of the basal part of the trunk of a tree. Both the heights of formation and the prunings try to obtain qualit wood, that is to say, shafts with a high percentage of free wood of faults. To both operations (heights of formation and prunings) they dedicate both principal chapters of this book, detailing aspects as the form of his execution, his most suitable intensity, the moment of his beginning, and the epoch of the year most adapted for his accomplishment.
