Overview
Song Jiaoren was assassinated in 1913 in Shanghai at the age of 32. He was an important figure during the early republican revolutionary period in China and also the first politician to propose the cabinet system. In preparing this edition of his diary, the entire master copy was reviewed and the errors in the past editions have been corrected. The nine introductions and postscripts by Cai Yuanpei, Zhang Taiyan and others are published for the first time, enhancing the historical value of the diary.
